Marc Therrien, Executive Director
On staff since 2010, Marc has the longest active streak of wcNE attendance, starting out in 1998 as a junior high student. As Executive Director, Marc’s skills lie in managing the ministry year-round; meeting and speaking with churches to introduce them to wcNE; overseeing all things Programming; and recruiting the amazing team of volunteers it takes to make wcNE run. He handles marketing and branding – designing the website, print materials, and gear for wcNE’s camp store. During active weeks of camp, Marc can be found leading our evening program, speaking, pitching in on a jobsite, or interacting with students on the court while using his insufficient athletic ability to make others feel like all-stars!
Marc also leads worship at his home church, and is on the Board of Directors for a local Christian school. He and his wife, Jessica, have three kids and they enjoy camping, hiking and sports. His great love is leading students into a deeper understanding of who Jesus is.
Ray Allen, Operations Manager
As our newest staff member, Ray has a long history with wcNE. Ray first met Marc when he was a student at Marc's youth group in central Illinois in 2010 and has been a workcamp participant since 2017. He attended Lincoln Christian University where he earned a degree in Worship Arts while serving as the worship leader for a church plant in Peoria, IL. After that he transitioned to being a Children’s and Family Minister at a church for a few years before moving to TN to pursue a Master of Divinity at Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan. During his time in TN, he got plugged into a church where he served as an intern, working closely with the pastor, as well as being heavily involved in their worship ministry and youth ministry.
Ray and his wife, Alayna, decided to take the step of faith to come aboard as full-time staff with wcNE and have relocated to NH as of June 2023. Quickly immersing himself in all areas of camp, he will handle the contracting side of wcNE, as well as aiding in programming and back office work. Ray and Alayna greatly enjoy the outdoors and look forward to hiking, climbing, and exploring NH in their free time. Both have a strong passion for Christ, and with upbeat and loving attitudes, they will lead students into a closer relationship with Him.
Ken Therrien, Director
Having taken over as Director in 2003, Ken can be found manning the office at camp ’til all hours of the night. He’s actually much happier swinging a hammer at a site when he can sneak out from under the rest of the staff’s watchful eye! His passion for Christ is evident as he plans ways to bring more students to camp in order to serve more families in need.
Marcia Therrien, Director
Enjoying the fact that she gets to work with her whole family, Marcia loves the life of camp! She can be found running things behind the scenes or happily interacting with the students and residents. Sometimes known as the "iron hand of camp," Marcia loves people and loves serving Jesus alongside her husband and grown children.
Jess Therrien, Admin Team
Jess brings amazing talents to the table – organization, beautiful voice, hard work ethic and fun! While most of her time is now spent raising her three children, she loves to pitch in around the office, and is more than happy delivering ladders or swinging a hammer. Watch out for her on the volleyball court – she’s lethal! Her love of the Lord is evident in everything she does and is.
Jack Hageman, Building Arts Director, (aka BAD)
Jack came onboard staff at the beginning of 2013, after having attended camp for many years in multiple roles. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the building trades and from his self-chosen title, he also brings a vast sense of humor! Coming in from the Midwest each year, Jack is our Head Contractor. Retired from state law enforcement, Jack is not only talented in building arts, he is a man of high character and lots of fun.
Tammy Hageman, Admin Team
Tammy is a true blessing to the workcampNE ministry. While desiring to be in the background, and not wanting any title, Tammy is an amazing worker who is always pitching in a million ways to help camp run smoothly. She is an avid board game player, and wonderful mother and grandmother to her family.
Dave Harrison, Board President
“Super” Dave has served on the wcNE Board since 2009. Serving as a band member, night-time monitor, crew leader, and keynote speaker, Dave wears many important hats around wcNE. He faithfully continues to support the ministry by volunteering as our Chairman of the Board. Dave serves as the preaching pastor at Londonderry Christian Church in Londonderry, NH. He and his wife, Joanna, reside in Londonderry with their three children.
Julie Neverman, Board Secretary
As a board member for many years, Julie is one of the original volunteers of wcNE. Her dedication to the ministry and passion to help others are just two of the qualities that make Julie a great asset to our team. Upon first coming to camp, she decided she was best suited for the role of Go-For. Retired after a long career in the educational field, she also handles all paperwork to register with different states regarding donations. Julie and her husband, Mickey, reside in Londonderry, NH.
Steve Cullum, Board Member
Steve has been a Board Member at wcNE for several years. We were first introduced to Steve as he led teams of students from a Salem, NH church to our summer camps. He has been a crew leader, band member and Keynote speaker since joining us. Steve and his wife, Yvette, moved to Colorado a few years where he currently holds the position of Colorado State Coordinator for National Network of Youth Ministries. While residing out West, he remains an active part of the wcNE ministry. His professional credentials include being trained in pastoral counseling, public speaking, tech and website training/skills and writing. While he has many attributes professionally, it’s Steve’s love for people and his passion to forward the Kingdom that make him such an asset to workcampNE. In his free time, Steve enjoys all types of sports, video games and playing his guitar.
Wade Hamilton, Board Treasurer
As a Board member, Wade uses his years of work experience as a Staff Industrial Engineer/Data Manager for an international company to keep things orderly at wcNE. Recently assuming the role of Treasurer, he helps oversee the financial running of camp. Wade has been seen as a crew leader, troubleshooter and most recently, Tool Room manager while at summer camps. His engineering background proves invaluable when loading the moving trucks each year – everything is perfectly balanced and there is zero wasted space! Wade and his wife, Kim, reside in Bedford, NH where they have raised their two adult children.
